Yosemite

Last week Trav and I piled in the truck with a couple of our friends and took off to Yosemite for a night.   When we had originally booked the trip we hoped for lots of snow but we had clear 70 degree weather instead!  I sometimes forget just how many beautiful places are just an hour or two from home here in California.  We are so lucky to have such a majestic place right here that people from all over the world come to see!  Everything is a bit slow and shut down in late winter so I wish we would have stayed a couple more days and camped instead of staying at a hotel.  We were forced to eat all of our meals at the Ahwahnee Hotel (oh darn!) because it was one of the only places open, though it was delicious is was expensive :)  We did a little bit of walking, a little bit of ice skating and a whole lot of relaxing.  Here are a few shots from our short stay.  I would love to go back again this year in the summer time and spend a lot more time exploring and hiking!
