It has been just about a year since I photographed this ethereal bridal shoot so I thought it would be the perfect time to finally blog it! Planning little creative shoots are just so rewarding! It seems that things usually do not go as planned but there is still beauty in learning from things that go wrong! This shoot was no exception!
The day of the shoot the weather decided to be less than ideal and we had off and on torrential down pours all day. My plan had been to shoot outside which obviously wasn’t possible, we switched to underneath my patio while hair and makeup was happening and when the wind and rain started flooding my patio and threatening the beautiful backdrop that Jess had made we ended up relocating to my parents garage down the street. If I am being honest the little hiccup really threw me off my game for a minute. I am always super conscious of not wanting to be an inconvenience to people so all these plan changes were literally killing me that day and my anxiety level was sky high! In the end it all worked out!
Thanks in part to an awesome team of ladies that collaborated on this with me, this is one of my favorite personal projects I have done!
