So lately I have been feeling super uninspired and in a funk with my business. It is HARD being a creative entrepreneur. Logging on to instagram often means getting sucked into a vortex of comparison and thinking how everything everyone else is doing and creating is amazing and everything I am creating sucks. It means constantly trying to find ways to stay focused and inspired and trying to not get too caught up in the feeling that I have to constantly be putting out gorgeous fresh content in a perfectly curated feed. It means knowing that sometimes I need a break from social media and taking little breaks is not going to ruin my business even if I feel like it will. It means finding inspiration and enjoyment in non work and business related things. I have been trying to find ways to combat these burnt out feelings this year. I signed up for a workshop this coming October which is always fun and inspiring and I can not wait for it!!! I also am trying to go back and review my own work when I am feeling down and trapped in the comparison game instead of looking at other photographers work. While I was rifling though my hard drive I remembered that I had not yet shared these images from The Poff’s workshop last April! This was the first time I shot only film and I am so glad I did! Danielle is having another workshop this year so if you are looking for a fun experience I highly recommend it! All images from this neon wedding inspiration shoot shot on my Pentax with Portra 400.
